Modern Farm House

Location: Portland, Oregon

This project involved a renovation and addition to a 70-year old farmhouse that had been added on to numerous times and lacked a harmonious design.

An addition was constructed to accommodate a master bedroom, changing vestibule and bathroom. The kitchen, living and dining rooms were reconfigured so they have a sensible relationship to each other. The dining room features custom built-in shelves and cabinetry while the kitchen houses an island with a maple butcher-block waterfall counter.

Materials include white-washed wide-plank hardwood floors, white-washed cabinetry, quartz and maple countertops, porcelain tile, and stainless steel hardware.
