Christie Architecture seeks candidates for an Intern Architect position to support design and delivery of high-end residential projects under the direction of the principals at our SW Portland, Oregon, studio.

Expected Role: Key support for projects across the firm working directly with principals, including, but not limited, to articulating design elements, documenting as-builts, preparing construction documents and presentations, participating in site visits, building and rendering projects in 3-d, and assisting with marketing efforts. The qualified candidate will have unique exposure to multiple projects at all levels. Additionally, they will work directly for licensed architects. If you are registered with NCARB AXP, you can earn hours towards registration.

Required Skills
Solid command of ArchiCad, AutoCAD, Rhino, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Familiarity with architectural drawing sets and the design/delivery process.
Proficiency with common presentation/office programs (Word/Pages, Excel/Numbers).
Versatility – self-starter with solid work ethic
Clear communication skills, positive attitude and comfort taking direction.

Is very detail-oriented and organized; likes process and follow-through.
Has a healthy sense of humor and diversity of interests to add to our friendly, dynamic atmosphere.
Is able to juggle multiple projects at one time.
Has a professional degree in architecture.

Schedule: Part time to start. Opportunity for full time dependent on experience.

Compensation: Hourly, commensurate with experience.

Location: Work expected to be on site at our SW Portland studio. No remote work.

Our Firm: Christie Architecture is a small studio practice focused on projects in Oregon and Washington. Most projects are custom single-family residential, but we also work on small commercial projects.
