This project is a new house for a family of six in rural Honduras.

The plan of the home is organized into three wings – a cooking wing, a living wing, and a sleeping wing – and revolves around a central courtyard. The kitchen and formal entertaining spaces all open to the courtyard, providing opportunities for indoor/outdoor living. The master bedroom is on the first floor and opens to a private garden. The children’s rooms are on the second floor with access to a balcony and exterior stair that leads to the pool and backyard play areas.

Exterior finishes are stucco, aluminum, and mahogany. Interior finishes are plaster, stone, and mahogany.
